Where is Hades?

The World Encyclopedia defines Hades as a word now used to mean about the same thing as Hell, a place where the souls of bad people go after death. Other references define Hades from the Greek word Haides meaning Pluto, the Greek God of the underworld. Nearly all Bibles translate the Hebrew word Sh’ol (Sheol) as the place of the dead meaning Hades or Hell.

Psalms 37:18-20 ** The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord, like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish into smoke they shall vanish away.

Although written a thousand years before the coming of the Messiah Christ Jesus, David’s words ring true to this day. Note that our loving creator will care for the people that truly love Him for they shall be satisfied. The Kingdom Of Heaven begins with their walk down the aisle to the love of their first love, Almighty God.  Note that the wicked shall perish and not live forever with continual agonizing pain which goes on and on forever. After total cremation, the smoke continues to rise and dissipates until it vanishes. Verse 37:20 of Tehillim (Psalms) in the Jewish Bible (Tanakh) says, “For the wicked will perish; Adonai’s (The Lord’s) enemies will be like sheep fat, ending up as smoke, finished”.  *** The final word finished is the final word spoken by Yeshua (Jesus) before He hung His head and died as the sacrificial lamb and son of Father God. God raised Him from the dead three days later as the first fruit for eternal life, according to scripture. Father God has given him authority to make alive all from their graves for judgment (John 5:27-30).

Mark 9:47-48 ** “And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire – where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.” ***Mark 9:47 Jewish Bible**And if your eye makes you sin, pluck it out! Better that you should be one-eyed but enter the Kingdom of God, rather than keep both eyes and be thrown into Gei-hinnom.** The translators did not know the location of Gei-hinnom and assumed it meant hell fire. Gei-hinnom was close to Jerusalem because it was their ever burning garbage dump where those crucified were also burned. The fire is not quenched and the worms/maggots feeding on the dead bodies became flies. The flies perpetually lay eggs in a never ending cycle. Note that Christ Jesus frequently quoted scripture and this message was taken from Isaiah 66:24.

In the final analysis, Hades/Hell means everlasting death for those that sin and don’t know or cannot understand their creator wishes to share His everlasting Kingdom. Yet, Hades/Hell is real, for at judgment, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah will surely not become part of the everlasting Kingdom and will likely lose their soul, while the people of Capernaum will suffer more. Christ Jesus did mighty works in Capernaum but they did not repent.**Matthew 11:23-24** “And you Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades, for if the mighty works which were done to you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment than for you.”

Matthew 10:28 ** “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Gei-hinnom).

It should be noted that the Messiah Christ Jesus did not say our Loving Creator will forever burn his sinful wicked children in everlasting torment. He will destroy forever both body and soul in hell (Gei-hinnom).  When we stand before the Supreme Judge at Judgment we shall see that those not granted to enter the Eternal Kingdom will pay a penalty at different levels for their disobedience of not obeying the words of the Royal Law.

1 Peter 2:9-11 (NIV)   ** But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. **

Mark 8:36 **. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

Dear friends, I urge you to not lose your soul which is the immortal element of every man. ** To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy – To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
