Lost Sheep

The Truth

Isaiah 53:5-6: But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities; all we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on HIM (Christ) the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah proclaimed this appeal for the coming of Messiah, Christ Jesus before the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C. The ten tribes of Israel had previously been dispersed over the face of the whole earth in 722 B.C. More than 300 years later, Christ, the Lamb of God did come to rescue all mankind from iniquity with a continual plan.

Matthew 10:5-7: These twelve (disciples) Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The kingdom of heaven is coming closer for after the sacrificed Passover Lamb of God, the Holy Spirit ascended on the Holy day of Pentecost. That day the Holy Spirit was given to the firstfruits of God as Christ set example. Thereby, firstfruits receive the first passports to enter the kingdom. Christ commanded the twelve Jewish disciples to preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven which is coming soon to earth (Matthew 6:10). The disciples were to preach the gospel first to Judea then over the face of the whole world. The compassion of God was first for the Jews that HE trained to keep the law of heaven for forty years in the desert. In this age the sacrificed body of Christ (Church of God) continues to preach the same gospel the Jewish disciples preached. However, in the first century the large group of Christians in Jerusalem displeased the teachers of the law and the Roman government.

The disciples and many Christians were diminished because of persecution and death.

Acts 8:1: Now Saul (Paul) was consenting to his death (Stephan). At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. * Thereby, Christian preaching expanded beyond Jerusalem for the faithful received the Holy Spirit of God on the Holy Day of Pentecost.

Acts 12:1-3: Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews (teachers of the law), he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. * Christ preached against the teachers of the law for they twisted the law of God from heaven. * Matthew 5:20: For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

James 1:1: (circa 60 A.D.): James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad (India to Ethiopia, Ester: 1:1), *

James preached the coming kingdom of God with faith to resist Satan, the devil and to draw nearer to God (James 4:7-8).Faith with works are essentials for salvation as Abraham was called a friend of God, a man justified by works, and not by faith only James (2:22-23). The scattered tribes were going over all directions over the face of the whole earth.

Ezekiel 34:5-6: So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, MY flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching from them. * Ezequiel 34:11:12: For thus says the Lord God: Indeed I Myself will search for my sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out MY sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.

The pure eyes of God cannot look upon wickedness (Habakkuk 1:13). However, God knows the heart of every soul created. *Isaiah 59:2: But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden HIS face from you, so that HE will not hear (entire world).*. To be accepted by God as one of HIS sheep, we must put on Christ as a hungry orphaned sheep. A shepherd will take the skin of a lamb that has died at birth and wrap it around the motherless lamb like a sweater. The clothed lamb is presented to the mother of the dead lamb. The ewe recognizes the scent, and accepts the lamb as her own. When we put on Christ the scent of God becomes life as we follow all HIS truths (Read Galatians 3:26-29). You will then be delivered from all iniquity when Christ returns on a cloudy and dark day.

Matthew 24:29: Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man (Messiah Jesus) will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. * Before that day the word must be preached to the gentiles.

Romans 15:24: Whenever I journey to Spain (Paul), I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while. * Acts 22:21: Then HE (Jesus) said to me: Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles. * Acts 2:39 (Pentecost year 31): For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call. *

Zephaniah 2:11: The Lord will be awesome to them, for HE will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth. People shall worship HIM each one from his place. Indeed all the shores (isles) of the nations (heathens). In circa 200 A.D., the church father Tertullian confirmed Christianity reached the limits of Spain’s, Gaul’s (France) and haunts of Britain’s inaccessible to the Romans but subject to Christ.

Indeed much of the world to this day proclaims Christianity. However, is it the same Christianity preached by Christ, the disciples and the first church?  We must believe and do all the truths of the entire Bible. After repentance, baptism and continual faith you will then be delivered from all iniquity when Christ returns on a cloudy and dark day. I remain your brother in Christ.
