Eternal Feasts

John 7:1-2: NKJV: After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill HIM. Now the Jews Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

In the first century A.D., Apostle John referred to the Jews Feast of Tabernacles for in that age only the Jews worshipped on this commanded High Feast Day (Leviticus 23:39). As many as ninety percent of the Jews of Israel had been dispersed to all parts of the pagan world more than a 100 years before the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. Only Judea and the tiny tribe of Benjamin combined with Judah returned from Babylon after 70 years of slavery. It has been reported that during the time of Christ Messiah, the Jewish historian Josephus reported about 3 million people worshiped on this commanded High Feast. The Holy word of our Lord God in continuation of the Old Testament (Tanakh), the rest of chapter 7 of John documents Christ Messiah also worshipped on the Feast of Tabernacles by teaching in the temple.

John 7:14: Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. Verse 28-29: Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying: You both know ME, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of MYSELF, but He who sent ME is true, whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent ME. * In a world that people then did not know our Lord God, so it has increased to this day into an age of utter chaos, confusion and death. However, our Lord God was with King Solomon and all Israel when the first great temple was completed at the eternal Feast of Tabernacles. This eternal feast is a feast of great joy and celebration for all peoples that express love for the Lord their God by keeping all HIS commandments.

1 Kings 8:2: Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the feast in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month (Leviticus 23:39). First Kings 8:65-66: At that time Solomon held a feast and all Israel with him a great assembly from the entrance of Ha’math to the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days and seven more days---fourteen days. On the eighth day (High Day Sabbath) he sent the people away and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for HIS servant David; and for Israel HIS people. * After our Lord God came to earth as Immanuel meaning God with us (Isaiah 7:14) as a man called Jesus Christ, all mankind has opportunity to become part of the soon coming Kingdom.

Jesus continued to worship by teaching as HE will soon again teach when HE comes, to a lost world that does not know our Lord God. John 7:37-38: On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying: If anyone thirsts, let him come to ME and drink. He who believes in ME, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will Flow Rivers of living water (Isaiah 55:1, without cost). * Isaiah 12:3: Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation (salvation is eternal forever). The Hebrew word ‘olam (ever) is found over 400 times in the Old Testament (Tanakh) The overall meaning is forever and everlasting.  Our Lord God (YHWH) is MY name forever (Exodus 3:15). The seven holy festival feasts commanded by your Lord God in Leviticus chapter 23 are ever lasting also in Exodus 12:14 and 2 Chronicles 2:4. The Greek word aion occurs more than 100 times in continuation of our Lord God’s Holy word in New Testament (Brit Chadashah, the new covenant). The meaning of aion is:  age, ever, world and forever.

Romans 1:22-25: Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man---and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchange the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature (creation) rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. * Christ preached in the temples, the hills, aboard ship and on the mountains, healed the sick, the blind and restored life to the dead. Few then received HIM as Messiah, firstborn son of God. Even fewer receive HIM in HIS way in this age. Only a few are worthy to become changed in the twinkle of an eye when HE comes to bring those few to become ONE with the family of God. This is the desire of our Lord to walk with obedient servants in a new world of peace forever. HIS people created in HIS image and renewed in mind and spirit will walk in the new and expanded Garden of Eden as with Adam at creation. We are weak but HE is strong as explained to the apostle Paul in Corinthians.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10: And HE said to me: My grace is sufficient for you; for MY strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches (insults) in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. * When the King of Kings and Lord of Lords soon comes all nations and peoples will worship the 7 eternal Feasts that our Lord commanded in Leviticus, chapter 23. The soon return of Messiah is proclaimed in Zechariah.

Zechariah 14:16-17: And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. * Be blessed until we meet again!
