Symbolism of Faith

    Home Back

Romans 6:12-13: NKJV: Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Our Eternal Father came to earth to demonstrate the correct ways demanded in heaven.
To begin HIS ministry HE demonstrated baptism to show mankind a symbolism of faith when totally immersed in water. Total immersion demonstrates death but becoming alive like Him when we rise out of the water in symbolic death. We then must deeply desire to train to become sin free just as He was and is forever. The first great baptism was a baptism of death for all living creatures that took the breath of all life except for eight souls in the book of Genesis.

Genesis 6:11: The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. ** Has this corrupt and violent world in this age improved? I know in my heart that all mankind has presented the members of their bodies to instruments of unrighteousness in the lust of sin. ** Genesis 6:22: Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did. ** Genesis 7:1: Then the Lord said to Noah: Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before ME in this generation. ** In this age our evil generation continues to allow sin reigning in their body for the chains of darkness to be reserved for the soon coming judgment.

2 Peter 2:4-5: For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly. ** Verse six of 2 Peter 2 is an example of the flood of fire and brimstone that is soon coming on this evil world that continues to think they are righteous by doing things their way. This is the devil’s way of disobedience not documented in scripture and not worthy for the kingdom of God. ** The next great baptism of death for the representatives of the devil is the Egyptians which are documented in Hebrews.

Hebrews 11:29: By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians attempting to do so were drowned. ** The Israelites were fearful of this baptism. But with the power of the Holy Spirit in the rod of Moses they were baptized. Yet, in lack of righteous faith all leaving the bondage, the sin of the devil, all perished except for Joshua and Caleb. The few that have righteous faith in HIS truth in this age must continue going forward in obedience to Him, trusting in HIS power of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise we soon fall into the same trap of disobedience as the departing Israelites which became a destiny of death. Eternal life in the coming kingdom is completely in the hands of our Lord Jesus, meaning savior who set a valid example for total baptism for mankind in the book of Luke.

Luke 3:21-22: When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and when He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon HIM, and a voice came from heaven which said: You are my beloved Son; in YOU I am well pleased. ** Our Lord Jesus without sin came from heaven to earth as the first born son of woman to set an example of how a valid baptism should be. After resurrection, HE plainly commanded baptism for repentant believers in Mathew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16. Repentant believers must turn from the sorcery of the devil and truly believe the teaching concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 8:12). **Mark 1:14-15: Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying: The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.  After baptism , the Holy Spirit which is the power of our Creator, laid hands on Messiah Jesus in the form of a dove representing peace which is soon coming in the kingdom of God. This holy power was promised by Christ.

Acts: 1:4-5: And being assembled together with them, HE commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which, HE said: you have heard from ME; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. ** Acts 2:1-2: When the Day of Pentecost had fully come; they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. **The symbolic view of water baptism emphasizes there is no change in the inward parts of the body including the heart, mind and soul. Nevertheless, the inward parts of the body must be stirred up after repentance with a minister of God who represents the power of the Holy Spirit of God. These are experienced ministers of this power who have had the power stirred up in their own heart, mind and soul with the laying on of hands with power to overpower the evil god of this world, the devil.  In Luke 3:21 Jesus prayed after HIS baptism to receive the Holy Spirit from heaven. So must mankind again be baptized to receive the full Spirit after the lay on of hands (Acts 19:4-6)! This must be done only with a pastor that represents the full power of the Holy Spirit!

The next great baptism of death is by fire for the unrepentant of this evil world. John the Baptist preached this in Matthew 3:11-12 and Apostle John in John 15:6.  Our unchanging God will soon fulfill this prophesy saving the few remaining that abide in the truth of the Holy Word. ** John 15:7: If you abide in ME, and MY words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. ** Abide translates from the Hebrew as Yashab, 3427 meaning remain, live with and comply with the laws of God.    Abide in Greek is meno, 3306 and translates the same as the Hebrew. ** John 15:10: If you keep MY commandments, you will abide in MY love, just as I have kept MY Father’s commandments and abide in HIS love.
