The Soul

Job 15:14-16: NKJV: What is man, that he could be pure? And he who is born of a woman that he could be righteous? If God puts not trust in HIS saints, and the heavens are not pure in HIS sight, how much less man, who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water!

Soul occurs over 750 times in the Old Testament as the Hebrew word nephesh.  Vine’s Expository Dictionary that nephesh refers to the heart and mind as the seat of human emotions and intellect as life created in the image of God. As mankind turned his back on our Creator in the Garden of Eden, he continues to worship the devil instead of our Creator. Thereafter, mankind quickly developed the deadly sin of greed and coveting as explained previously.

Genesis 34:3: His soul (a Prince in Canaan) was strongly attracted to Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the young woman and spoke kindly to the young woman. ** This lust had caused him to violate (rape) her with the chain reaction of sin and death of himself as well as all other men in the city. Returning to God with all one’s soul (heart) is evident in the prayer of Solomon in 1 kings 8:48: And when they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul (life, mind) in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city (Jerusalem) which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name.  ** The commandments of God have been twisted in reverse to disobey God’s love to the devil’s sinful greed, lust and death which has multiplied to this very day.

1 Corinthians 13:13: And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. ** Every person born of woman has been given spiritual gifts of grace from the loving kindness of our Father in heaven but each gift must be controlled by the basic principle of the greatest gift which is love.  The control of this greatest gift is repeatedly twisted in disobedience to Father God to worship of the devil by reversing, forgetting or turning away His commandments of love.

Job 15:12-13: Why does your heart carry you away, and what do your eyes wink at, that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth? ** The soul (life) of every person was given to man in the beginning when God (YHWH, Yahweh) breathed the breath of life into man in Genesis 2:7: And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. ** Genesis 1:26: Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness… ** From the beginning mankind was made a mirror image of our creator with His mind of love until the devil, the deceitful liar decided to bring man down to his present level of unrighteousness and disobedience which is wickedness. This is a level of disobedience that is abominable and filthy that drinks iniquity (sin) like water poured out on our Creator continually.  Is it any wonder He will again destroy most of mankind a second time? Instead of death by water, the sudden example of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone is over the horizon.

Just as the teachers of the law taught as many as 666 errors of the law during the visit of the Word, the Messiah Jesus so do the teachers of the law to this day. One of the greatest errors is dividing our One God into three different Gods called a trinity. The following verses verify that our Lord God is one: Deuteronomy 6:4, Galatians 3:20, Romans 3:30, Ephesians 4:5-6, James 2:19 and more.

The word trinity cannot be found in the Holy Bible of truth but is a made up tradition of theologians to draw mankind down to the level of confusion and disobedience of the devil, the temporary god of this evil world. Jesus, meaning Savior is the I Am throughout the entire bible. The Gospel of John places Christ in His deity to spark believing faith in the readers of the Holy Word.  The Gospel of John explains seven miracles and seven I Am statements of Christ.  The Logos, the Word, the Son of God was God long before Adam was created from the dust of the earth to begin and expand His earthly family of one, the one I Am family.

John 1:1-3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ** Verse 14: And the Word (I am) became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. ** Jesus prayed to the Father in a final intercessory prayer before laying down his Holy life to purchase His disciples and others with His own holy blood. ** John 17:15-17: I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

The Holy Spirit is not another god. The Holy Spirit is the power of God as explained in Acts 1:8 and Luke 1:35: And the angel answered and said to her: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you… ** Acts 1:8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Genesis 14:18: Then Melchizedek (Yeshua, Jesus Christ) king of Salem (Jerusalem) brought out bread and wine; He was the priest of God Most High. The 14 books written by the Apostle Paul repeatedly emphasize Jesus as being the mediator between man and God. Paul explains the Holy Spirit is communion (fellowship, as the One Family of Love will become) in 2 Corinthians 13:14: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
