Passing Over

    Home Back

In Hebrew the word pasha is explicit to link the divine action of Passover for passing over the land of Egypt to bring a terrifying judgment against Pharaoh and his people for refusing to release the Israelites from their captivity. ** Exodus 12:12: NKJV: …I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.  ** Verse 17: So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance. ** Verse 24: And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever.

Pharaoh represents the evil god of this world, the devil. Just as Moses represents the God and maker of the universe who will soon bring a terrifying judgment against all of mankind that is in alliance with the devil. The Pascal lamb represents the death and the resurrection of the Messiah, Christ Jesus, the firstborn of many children to become extended members of the family God.

Romans 8:20-21: For the creation (Genesis 3:17-19), was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of HIM (the Lord) who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption (decay) into the glorious liberty of the children of God. ** Because of the disobedience in the Garden of Eden all men die and decay. Genesis 3:19: In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return. **

Genesis 19:3: But he (Abraham) insisted strongly; so they (two angels) turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. ** This is the first instance of angel food listed in the Holy Bible. The next is after the 430 years of bondage in Egypt when the children of Israel quickly departed (Exodus 12:8). The Pascal lamb represented the Lamb of God (John 1:29), Jesus Christ. The blood of the Pascal lamb pointed to the Holy blood of Christ that frees us from bondage to give life. No other blood except this holy blood from God can give life.  For without blood, there is no life. ** Deuteronomy 12:23: …For the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat.

Mark 14:12:  Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, HIS disciples said to HIM: Where do YOU want us to go and prepare that YOU may eat the Passover. ** 1 Corinthians 5:7: Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, out Passover, was sacrificed for us.

Our sins are so distressing to our Creator that HE sent HIS own Son to suffer painfully and die to give life to all that truly believe and do HIS will by keeping HIS commandments. But as a loving father full of mercy, HE will grant repentance to any person humbly and willing to faithfully walk as HIS Holy Son walked and preached for three and a half years. The three and a half years is representative of the days of killing the Pascal lamb in Exodus.

Exodus 12:3: …On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb... Verse 6: Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. Verse 12:15: Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread…** According to the clock of our Creator, the lamb had to be taken during light of day for sunset the day before was the beginning of the day (Genesis 1:5) which means half of this day was passed. These three and a half days represents not only the time of our Lord Messiah’s ministry on earth but also the amount of time of tribulation which is soon coming before HE returns.

Matthew 24:30-31: Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And HE will send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. ** All the tribes of the earth are the peoples of the earth which do not have the spirit of the elect with a heart and mind that has been circumcised by the spirit of the Lord.   The beginnings of sorrows are described in Chapter 24 and 25 of Matthew. The sound of the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11:15-18 describe Christ and His servants resurrected from the dead and rewarded who will be forever with our Lord. ** See 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 also. ** We shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Deuteronomy 30:6: And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul that you may live.  To live in Hebrew is the word hayah, 2421, meaning resurrection. Resurrection for the dead in Greek is anastasis, 386, as Christ explained in Matthew 22:30, 32:  For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Do not fear the end of the world on December 21, 2012 according to the Mayan and Aztec calendar for it is not biblical. It was written by men of the world influenced by the devil, the temporary god of this evil world to create fear, chaos and paranoia in a sinful world.

Psalm 51: 10-12: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from YOUR presence, and do not take YOUR  Holy Spirit from Me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by YOUR generous Spirit. ** Jeremiah 29:11-13: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. ** Have no fear for our Lord God is near. He is only a prayer away. Be blessed until we meet again!
