Vain Chatter

2 Timothy 2:15:16: NKJV: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

Idle babbling means vain and empty words that twist the Word of truth which is the entire Holy Bible, the Word of our God. These empty words of idle babblings and vain chatter infect others like a deadly cancer and dangerous spreading virus. Our lord knows HIS children which are those that diligently seek HIS truth for HE will not and cannot lie as in Titus 1:2: In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, but has in due time manifested HIS word through preaching, which was committed to me (Paul) according to the commandment of God our Savior: ** Dividing as our learned commenters split or separate into distinct parts, apart from another is the path of the devil and not biblical truth. For the Scripture cannot be broken. ** John 10:35: If He (God) called them gods, to whom the Word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken).

Divide in Hebrew is halag, 2605, occurring sixty-five times in the OT and correctly translated as share as in Isaiah 53:12 and Zechariah 14:1 in the day of the soon coming of the Lord. In Greek, the word divide is diamerizo, 1266, as in Luke 22:17 as dividing/ sharing of the Passover cup. The older Catholic Bible translation of the Challoner-Rheims Version, frequently referred to as the Douay Version does not say dividing, but rightly handling the word of truth. An even older version of the Spanish Bible dating from 1569 Casio Doro de Reina revised as the Reina-Valera translates as directly/honestly the word of truth. The Jewish New Testament in 2 Timothy 2:15: Do all you can to present yourself to God as someone worthy of HIS approval, as a worker with no need to be ashamed, because he deals straightforwardly with the Word of the Truth.  The original William Tyndale NT published in 1525 for 2 Timothy 2:15: Work hard so God can say to you: Well Done. Be a good workman, one who does not need to be ashamed when God examines your work. Know what His Word says and means. The Tyndale new living translation says: who correctly explains the word of truth. The New World Translation says: With nothing to be ashamed of handling (not dividing) the word of the truth aright. ** Without dividing, but rightly handling and with honesty, correctly. Straightforwardly and directly, I now take you to the nailing of our Lord to the Cross (The real tree of life for mankind).

Colossians 2:13-14: And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with HIM, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And HE has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. ** Three things were nailed to the cross at Golgotha. The most important was our Lord, Jesus Christ. The second was HIS precious Holy Blood. This humble Lamb of God shed HIS Holy blood in atonement for the sins of mankind. The Jews first and the uncircumcised rest of the world next. The uncircumcision were the gentiles and pagans to bring alive all mankind who were dead in trespass since creation. The third thing nailed to the cross was the charges against HIM as in John 19:19: Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. ** The next verse tells us it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

Colossians 2:14: KJV: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross? (I take personal responsibility for adding the question mark). ** As a result of the shedding of the Holy Blood of the Messiah, the ordinances/decrees of the Law of Moses were blotted out. Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Bible words for ordinances/decrees in Greek is dogma, 1378. Colossians 2:14 specifically refers to the decrees/ordinances of the law covenant, whose curse and penalty have been abolished through the death of Christ. ** His Holy sacrifice as the Lamb of our God no longer requires the killing of animals to purify our filthy bodies and minds of past sins. Sin is disobedience to the Holy Law of the Commandments; for sin is of the world but sin will not be in the Kingdom come.  Only those filthy bodies of the world that truly believe by becoming a doer in keeping the eternal commands of our Creator have an opportunity to enter the Kingdom forever and ever.

John 15:10: NKJV: If you keep MY commandments, you will abide (continue to walk) in MY love, just as I have kept MY father’s commandments and abide in HIS love. ** Sin is transgression of the Law. Sin is disobedience to the Law. The Law was spoken on Mount Sinai and was written by the finger of God in stone. ** Deuteronomy 9:10: Then the Lord delivered to me (Moses) two tablets of stone written with the finger of God, and on them were all the words which the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. ** Two tablets of stone written with the finger of God are the Holy Words of our Creator which will endure forever in the very soon coming Kingdom come. All the words written by the finger of God included more than the Holy Ten Commandments but also the book of Leviticus. Leviticus 26:46: These are the statutes and judgments and laws which the Lord made between Himself and the children of Israel on Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses. ** The time is now that mankind does not believe or endure sound doctrine; but are enticed by the devil to turn away from the eternal law.

2 Timothy 4:3, 4: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap (accumulate) up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables (strange myths). ** Luke 21:33: Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY words will by no means pass away (Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35). ** Revelation 19:13b: And HIS name is called: The Word of God (which endures forever). ** 1 John 2:17: And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Verse 18b: Even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
