Many Sorrows

    Home Back

First Timothy 6:7-10: NKJV: For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Many sorrows are the result of greediness which is this wicked world’s first sin of coveting desired by Eve in the Garden. The experienced lies of the devil tricked her into disobedience. To this day all mankind continues to be pierced with many sorrows which alienates mankind from their Eternal Creator. The sorrow the apostle Paul experienced is translated from the Greek word odune 3601 and translated as pain, consuming grief, distress of the mind. This sorrow of the Apostle was a continuous labor of love trying to keep the devil from infiltrating the established churches of love back into perdition of eternal death with greed into earthly riches called love. This type of the devil’s love remains forever and cannot be carried out of this evil world of destruction and perdition. Even Christ Jesus brought nothing into this world and carried nothing out except HIS love of mankind to salvage many wicked souls into HIS soul of everlasting life.

Romans 9:2: That I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. ** This same long winter of sorrow and distress of mind is translated from the Greek. Sorrow in Hebrew is yagah 3013, meaning afflict, cause grief, grieve, sorrowful and vex. This great sorrow is with unceasing and consuming grief within the mind.  This is a sorrow that can extend to the grave. It is displayed by the Prophet Moses in the book of Genesis.

Genesis 42: 38: But he (Jacob) said: My son (Benjamin) shall not go down with you, for his brother (Joseph) is dead, and he (Benjamin) is left alone. If any calamity should befall him along the way in which you go, then you would bring down my grey hair with sorrow to the grave.  **As long as there was food and nourishment, Jacob was resolved for Benjamin to not go down to Egypt. Even though the food was a gift since Joseph had refunded their money in each sack (Verse 35), the distress of evil worked in their minds and they were afraid.  Fear lingered until the grain was being depleted. At the door of death because of the severe famine, Israel (Jacob) finally relented in Genesis 43:12-13: Take double money in your hand, and take back in your hand the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks; perhaps it was and oversight. Take your brother also, and arise, go back to the man. And may God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release your other brother and Benjamin.  If I am bereaved, I am bereaved!

Genesis 44:20: And we said to my lord (Joseph): We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, who is young; his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother’s children, and his father loves him. ** Verse 31: It will happen when he sees that the lad is not with us, that he will die. So your servants will bring down the gray hair of your servant our father with sorrow to the grave. ** As spokesman for the family, Judah displayed a compassionate and tender plea for Benjamin and Israel. Israel will die in bereavement of sorrow when he sees that the lad is not brought safely back from Egypt. Note that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ descended from the seed of Judah as described in Hebrews.

Hebrews 7:12-14: For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. For HE of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. ** How simple it is? Only Almighty God who is pure and holy used HIS Spirit to provide a pure and holy seed to a virgin woman to come to conquer the devil’s wicked world of perdition. **Matthew 1:18: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After HIS mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. ** As the Holy sacrificial lamb, this one document change is the only change made in the law.  Sacrificed animals only pointed to the coming of the Savior for mankind and the High Priest of Almighty God.

Isaiah 53:11-12: He shall see the labor of HIS soul, and be satisfied. By HIS knowledge MY righteous Servant shall justify many, for HE shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide HIM a portion with the great, and HE shall divide the spoil with the strong, because HE poured out HIS soul unto death, and HE was numbered with the transgressors, and HE bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.  ** Only Almighty God is worthy to pour out HIS own blood in Christ who poured out HIS life blood unto death. In sacrificing His life, the devil, sin and death is conquered. After being raised from death, HE proclaimed in Matthew 28:18: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to ME in heaven and on earth.

Ephesians 4:9-10: (Now this, HE ascended- what does it mean, but that HE also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the ONE who ascended far above all the heavens, that HE might fill all things.) ** By ascending far above the heavens, HIS spirit fills everything in the universe including even your thoughts of sorrow, pain, hunger and thirst.  All these thoughts will soon disappear for those that really repent in sorrow of mind for disobedience in not keeping the commanded laws of our Creator. Believe by keeping all the laws commanded by our Almighty God in Exodus Chapter 20, Deuteronomy, chapter 5 and Leviticus, chapter 23.  A dramatic rescue is soon coming at the return of our Savior, Jesus, meaning Savior in Hebrew. This rescue by grace through faith is only for those obedient souls that prove their love by keeping all HIS commandments.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. ** Verse 12: That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, have no hope and without God in the world. ** The covenants of promise are for those that keep HIS commands. ** Proverbs 3:1: My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands. ** The will of our Eternal God is for all to repent and keep HIS commands of love as this evil world passes away.

Be blessed until we meet again!
