The Greatest Prayer

John 17:20: NKJV: I do not pray for these alone (disciples), but also for those who will believe in ME through their word; that they all may be one, as YOU, Father, are in ME, and I in YOU; that they also may be one in US, that the world may believe that YOU sent ME.

This is love, for the holy love of God is to give. The love of mankind is the greed to get and not to give.  The gift of agape love by God was to give mankind the life of HIS First born son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ (John 3:16). Before HIS arrest, in fervent prayer, the Messiah lifted up HIS eyes to heaven and prayed to Father God the entire chapter of John seventeen. Hours later before sunset, beginning Passover, HE laid down HIS Holy body as a sacrificial lamb to wash away the sins of mankind’s wicked disobedience for atonement. The Hebrew word for atonement (Kapar is translated to cover over, atone, propitiate, pacify). The first atonement for the wickedness and salvation of mankind’s sins is commanded in the book of Genesis.

Genesis 6:14: Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. ** This completed action commanded by the Eternal God gave Noah pacification, propitiation and atonement by covering over the sinful few souls in the ark. For this action God saved the life of Noah and family totaling eight souls within the protection of the Ark. All souls on the earth with the breath of life outside the ark as well as land breathing animals perished in the flood. Mankind perished for they had become alienated from the life of the Eternal Father God. To this day most of mankind continues in alienation, as before the flood. They perish in futility because of ignorance and blindness in their wicked hearts. This is according to the word of God written by the Apostle Paul.

Ephesians 4:17-20: This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles (pagans) walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ. The second greatest prayer is asking for the gift of wisdom. ** James 1:5-8: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double- minded man, unstable in all his ways. ** The greatest free gift of wisdom was from a young man without greed, who petitioned the Lord for wisdom to properly govern the commanded laws and people of our one Lord God.

1 Kings 3:5-6: At Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said: Ask! What shall I give you?  And Solomon said: YOU have shown great mercy to YOUR servant David my father, because he walked before YOU in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with YOU; YOU have continued this great kindness for him, and YOU have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Verse 9: Therefore give to YOUR servant an understanding heart to judge YOUR people that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of YOURS?

An understanding heart is frequently correctly rendered in translation in Old and New Testaments as wisdom of the mind, intelligence, knowledge and/or wise. The understanding heart is the spiritual gift to know and do the will/desires of our one Eternal Lord God and not the will/desires of mankind.

Romans 5:10-11: For if when we were enemies we were reconciled (meaning atoned) to God through the death of HIS Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by HIS life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through who we have now received the reconciliation (atonement). ** The Day of Atonement is the commanded holy tenth day after Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the New Hebrew year. ** Leviticus 23:31-32: You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all you dwellings. It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict (fast) your soul; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your Sabbath. ** Five days later begins the eight day celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. * Zechariah 14:16 describes the Feast in the new world which is forever.

Leviticus 23:39:41: Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days, on the first day there shall be a Sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a Sabbath-rest. And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days. You shall keep it as a feast to the lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month (in 2011, the commanded Feast of Tabernacles begins sundown October 12). Do you walk as the Messiah walked and are you are officially adopted into HIS holy family?

Psalm 32:1: Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Ephesians 1:4-5:  Just as HE (Lord Jesus Christ) chose us in HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy without blame before HIM in Love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will.  ** As sons and daughters of Jesus Christ, it is necessary to continue to do the will of the Eternal Lord God.

The greatest gift you can give is love by keeping the commandments of love desired by the Eternal one. This is doing HIS commandments of love which is the seven commanded feasts of Leviticus 23:2-41. For this is how the new heaven and new earth will very soon become. Are your sins covered over and forgiven to escape the soon coming wrath of the Lord?  Repent now and ask the Eternal Lord God to help you do HIS will!

Be blessed until we meet again!
