Idol of Worry

Matthew 6:34 NKJV: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Our Messiah, Yeshua Christ Jesus will soon rescue the people of God from the slavery of this sinful world. He spoke these words soon after HIS ministry began. His entire sacrificial ministry unto death was to amplify, explain and teach the Old Testament to do good (well) in pleasing our one Father God in heaven. This good means to align a mindset with Him to walk in kindness with a virtuous, benevolent peace in order to perhaps become a righteous loyal member of His family. The focus on the troubles of today will bring the focus of greater coming troubles which must take place. These troubles will weed out the few whose focus of worry is to always try to please God in doing HIS will.

Leviticus 19:17-19: You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.  You shall keep my statutes……..The righteous author of these words also said in Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall (will) be added to you (Luke 12:31, also). ** When we seek first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and do HIS will, we forever obey with true love in our heart. True love in obedience is the hope to receive his mercy as HE promised in Exodus 20:6: And showing mercy unto thousands to those who love ME, and keep MY commandments.

The vain and worthless teachings in this era by the teachers of the law ignore the word thousands and preach that millions of people will be rescued by God. They preach a word called rapture not in scripture, leaving behind the wicked.  All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Blinded mankind thinks everyone else is wicked and can’t see the mote (plank) in your own eye (Matthew 7:4).  Romans 3:24, advises we are redeemed by God’s grace by the redemption that is in Jesus Christ. We are redeemed by the sacrifice and Holy blood of God’s Holy Lamb. Yet, most of mankind is not worthy or holy enough for any redemption. You shall keep my statutes is the first step in receiving HIS grace. Not honoring all HIS Sabbaths (Leviticus, Chapter 23) and celebrating manmade holidays makes the entire world fall short of the glory of God by not doing HIS will. HIS will is obeyed only by the few thousands that are obedient with love in honoring the will of God. ** Jesus said in John 14:23….If anyone loves ME he will keep my word (Commands of God), and MY Father will love him, and WE will come to him and make OUR home with him.

2 Peter1:11: For so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly in the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ** The Apostle recommends adding to our faith (verse 5-10) to obtain knowledge of virtue (moral excellence) with perseverance in brotherly kindness love so as to not continue to stumble in seeking the everlasting Kingdom of our Creator.  Satan, the powerful temporary adversary and god of this fallen world has turned the love of God Almighty into a world of hate, worry and disobedience. This closes the entrance door on most of mankind. James 2:5 advises: Listen my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom which He promised to those who love HIM?

In these troubled times of greed, worry and hate, mankind has forgotten the loving kindness of God and turned to the god of worry. This god effectively closes the entrance door to the everlasting Kingdom of love. Worry is truly a god worse than the pagan gods of old made of gold. Those manmade gods did nothing but sit as if watching television in worry. Worry effectively moves aside the richness of faith and locks mankind out of the promised everlasting Kingdom of Love, peace and happiness. Worry is a powerful weapon of the prince of darkness for it is worshipped each exhausting day and sleepless night. Worry replaces love with disobedience which is the adversary of our Lord God. It combines disobedience with greed and all forms of wickedness which the world thinks is right. It is so time consuming, there is no time to turn to Father God for help. Obedience to the commands of love is true faith which becomes obedience to God’s will.

Exodus 15:26…If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in HIS sight, give ear to HIS commandments and keep all HIS statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For ‘I am’ the Lord who heals you. ** The worries of the world and the continual worship of pagan gods are rapidly repeating the plagues of the Egyptians to a disobedient world. The god of worry must be replaced with the reverent and loving fear of God. We must fight the increasing fear and curse of the ‘idol of worry’ by obedience to our one and only God of the Universe. He is the ‘I am’, the spirit of truth.

1 John 4:4: You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because HE (Lamb of God, the Savior and the Messiah Jesus) who is in you is greater than he (Satan, the Antichrist, verse 3) who is already in the world. ** When we turn to the one God of Love, we have an opportunity to cast out the fear and curse of the ‘idol of worry’. Begin your fight by adhering to the words of God by the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 13:5-6: Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For HE Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to ME? ** As Joshua prepared to lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land, the Lord said: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9)….Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you (Isaiah 35:4)………..** Consider visiting a Church of God that teaches and practices  keeping all the Holy Commandments of our Lord God.
