The Good Shepherd 2

Psalm 23:2 **. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

The Lord will take the emotional and mental turbulence from the minds of his gentle sheep. His gentle sheep are those that are guided by the Good Shepherd who is the Messiah, Y’shua Christ Jesus. His sheep are those that profess their love to Father God by studying His holy words of the entire Bible and doing what it says. When we are under his watchful eye, the confusion and destruction of the world is taken out of our bodies and minds and we don’t worry that the wolf (Satan) will devour us. We are at peace with tranquil, calm and serene thoughts of the Loving spirit that streams into our minds from on high.

We find the door to the Kingdom of God with Devine deep peace will surely be opened when we follow the words of the Apostle Paul while waiting for soon death while in prison. In Philippians 4:8, he said, “…Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever thing are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise worthy (to God) – mediate on these things”. In verse 11 he says, “…I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content”.

As the gentle flock of sheep lie down in tranquil, calm and serene peace, so do the human sheep of the Good Shepherd. His sheep cast all worries and concerns upon the Master.  The flock of the Church of God basks in peace for they deny the frantic ways of Satan’s world which constantly attempts to stop the Lord’s sheep from correctly worshipping the only one who gives life forever.

Zechariah 11:16-17 **... “For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand….Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock”…. *** Our Lord was telling the Prophet Zechariah that He would raise up the Good Shepherd, the Messiah, Y’shua Christ Jesus. This Good Shepherd was even prophesied by Moses. However, He had to bring woe and death first to the worthless religious leaders of the time by destroying the rebuilt great temple after the return of the Children of Israel that were taken into captivity in Babylon for 70 years. The Good Shepherd, Christ Jesus during His ministry again predicted the destruction of the worthless shepherds. They did not correctly follow the laws of God and rejected the Good Shepherd; who prophesied the destruction of the second Great Temple by the Roman’s in 70 AD. Sadly, mankind continues to reject the first coming of the Good Shepherd Messiah, the Lamb of God. This is the son of the Most High who gave His life for the sheep (mostly non-Jews) as the final sacrifice with His Holy Blood to atone for those that believe and trust in the new covenant of the Lord. The new covenant took place the moment of the Most High’s Holy Lamb, the Messiah shed His last drop of blood for atonement and the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. (Matthew 27:51). The Most High then appointed His Lamb, Christ Jesus as the High Priest who will rule with Father God forever. (Hebrew 2:17).  In Hebrews 13:20-21, the Apostle Paul says, “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you that is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever”. Amen.

HE LEADS ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS

Psalm 65:13 **. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing. ** This description of the earth is not of this world which has been corrupted by the evils of mankind since the downfall of Adam in the beginning. This verse reveals the wonderful new heaven and earth which is soon coming. There we will walk and talk beside still waters with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (firstborn son of God). We go about our Father’s business (God), which is to trust and obey His words of life (Bible). The flocks of sheep (family of God) will be led out of the darkness of this sinful world into the everlasting light of our Creator God. Mankind will be led from ignorance and greed into enlightenment; and from death to immortal souls upon return to the “new Eden”. Man will sing and shout with joy as he is at peace with the valleys of grain provided by the ruler of our God’s kingdom who is the bread of life (John 6:35). This is the destiny of the soul that is led by the Lamb of God (Messiah, Y’shua Christ Jesus). This is the destiny of the soul that follows the narrow path leading to life in the Kingdom of God by keeping his commandments of love (Matthew 19:17, Deuteronomy 5:7-21).

** Verse 9 of Psalm 65 tells us of the second coming of the Messiah, saying “You visit the earth and water it, YOU greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; YOU provide their grain, for so YOU have prepared it”. ** The river of God will flow with pure water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and the Lamb (Revelation 22:1). ** The Lamb, Messiah, Y’shua Christ Jesus is the rock that built His Church of God. The pure water of life was first given to the children of Israel in the wilderness when the Most High instructed Moses to strike the rock in Exodus 17:6, saying, “Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it that the people may drink.” ** Later,                     water from rock, Numbers 20, verse 11-13, Moses smote the rock 2 times in disobedience which denied him and Aaron to bring the assembly into the land which the Lord gave them. ** The rock was hallowed (sacred, holy) and our Lord did not desire His Holy Lamb to be struck (crucified) again. Eternal atonement for the sins of mankind was made once and forever. Plead now with Our God (E-lo-hei-nu) to forgive your past sins to live with eternal atonement!   Ask Him to help you keep His commands to live forever!
