The Power

The Truth

Acts 26:17-18: I (Jesus Christ) will deliver (protect) you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in ME.

The Devine Power of God is calling a few of HIS ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) and providing protection. The ambassadors are obediently participating to do the will of God in their work. This work encompasses opening the eyes of a sinful and dark world from the power of Satan that deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Even the ambassadors are hindered by evil and affliction caused by Satan.

2 Corinthians 12:7: And lest I (Paul) should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.

Until the return of Christ, Satan remains the God and ruler of this world (John 14:30, 2Corinthians 4:4, John 12:31) Christ will allow thorns in our flesh to teach us to humbly pray and work for God to teach us HIS graceful way. We are weak in the flesh, but God is strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The thorns are insignificant in this life for when Christ returns, HIS elect will receive the inheritance of the coming kingdom of God on earth (Matthew 6:10, Daniel 7:27, Rev. 20:6). There will be no more thorns for the elect at resurrection. However, until the second coming of Christ, the destroyer (Satan) remains.

Revelation 9:11. And they had a king (Satan) over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abad ’on (Destruction), but in Greek he has the name Apol’lyon (Destroyer). * The evil plan of Satan, the prince of the power of the air, is to assure the entire world is a disobedient adversary to God (Eph.2:2). To overcome the evil of this world ruler, we must have the help of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

After conversion, baptism immersion and the lay on of hands, the Spirit of God will help you liberate from the power of evil Satan’s influence. The rebirth of the mind with growth of the Spirit in the heart will achieve a pleasing mind for God. It is necessary to daily refuel the soul with spiritual food if you desire to become family members of God at resurrection. At resurrection you will have access to the tree of life to live forever (Genesis 3:22, Revelation 22:2).

Genesis 3:22: Then the Lord God said: Behold, the man has become like one of US, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever

Except for the Son of Man (Christ), the faces of all mankind have been filled with shame. The shame of death is for people of a confounded world because they do not fully know the ways of God. Nor is the confused world a doer of the eternal commandments of God to discern knowledge of God. The world of disobedience, death, confusion and chaos is a gift of Satan (Genesis, chapter 3). Satan, the father of liars (Genesis 3:4, John 8:44), is ruler of the great harlot of Rev. 17.

Psalm 83: 16-18: Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek YOUR name, O Lord. Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish, that they may know that YOU, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth. * James 3:16: For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. * 1Corinthians 14:33: For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. * 1 Corinthians 3:16-17: Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. * Yet, Satan, the King of Tyre (Ezequiel 28:12), continues to kill, maim, murder and destroy.

Luke 21:9: But when you hear of wars and commotions (riots), do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.

As painful as the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, it cannot compare to the tribulations to come (Matthew 24:21-22). Yet, we have the assurance that God will protect and deliver HIS children into the kingdom. We cannot know or see when we will be set free, but we have the faith to know that Jesus is the author and defender of the faith of the Church of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2:…Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The focus of the believer is endurance to hardship with power of the Holy Spirit. The focus must remain on the ONE who began and will finish our faith. The struggle is negligible. At resurrection, we will have the joy of crossing the finish line. The finish line is completion of being reborn into the family of God. Training for this rebirth now is not a physical birth of passion, emotion or human plan. The gift of birth and rebirth is from Almighty God.

I remain your brother in Christ. Be blessed until we meet again.
