The Truth

Jude 10-11: NKJV: But these (depraved people) speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. Woe to them!  For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Jude is an English translation of Judas, a common Jewish name in the first century. Jude surely was the half-brother of Christ (Mark 6:3, Matthew 13:55). Jude did not become a believer until God raised Messiah from the tomb (John 7:5, Acts 1:13-14). Jude likens most of mankind as animals doing the will of Satan, the depraved devil. Balaam sinned greedily for profit to curse Israel. Instead, God commanded Balaam to bless Israel (Numbers 22:35).

God blessed Balaam with the privilege of a prophet with foresight and insight. Yet, he was far from God since he had the sin of greed which is coveting and idol worship (Colossians 3:5). This inherited sin of disobedience continues to this day. It is sin of the entire world .It is a gift from Satan. * Revelation 12:9…That serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world… * Balaam had the gift of prophecy but he used it to worship Satan, the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Balaam’s knowledge of faith, love of mankind and God Almighty did not exist.

1 Corinthians 13:2: And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. * Love is more important than all spiritual gifts combined. Love is the beginning of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).Without love, Balaam set the example to be nothing for most of the entire world. The gift of hate began with Adam and Eve when they were deceived into selecting the tree of knowledge and evil hate. However, Balaam had the knowledge that God would not allow a curse upon people that God had blessed. The first oracle follows:

Numbers 23:8-10: How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced? : For from the top of the rocks I see him (Israel), and from the hills I behold him; There! A people dwelling alone, not reckoning itself among the nations. Who can count the dust (dust cloud) of Jacob, or number one fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my end be like his! * The death of the righteous will come alive at resurrection and become alive as brothers of Messiah. * Mark 3:35: For whoever does the will of God is MY brother and MY sister and mother. * We can only do the will of God with the power of the Holy Spirit. * Psalm 115:16: The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth HE has given to the children of men. * God has given the earth to mankind as a divine right (Genesis 1:28). To please and honor God, we must be obedient in submission to God alone. The second oracle follows:

Numbers 23:19-20: God is not a man, that HE should lie, nor a man, that HE should repent. Has HE said, and will HE do? Or has HE spoken, and will HE not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. * God has a vested interest for all people then and now. The fulfillment of this vested interest is after resurrection. Christ set this example. The elect will become family of the household of God. * Isaiah 55:12-13: For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. * The third oracle follows:

Prophesy of Balaam

Numbers 24:5-6: How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the Riverside, like aloes planted by the Lord, like cedars beside the waters. * The tents of the Israelites were stately mansions in the vision of this prophesy. The vision in the eyes of God is the glory of the world to soon come. God repeatedly forgave the sins of the people that grumbled, complained and often desired to stone Moses. For nine times, God forgave, but number ten resulted in death (Numbers 14:22-23).

Numbers 24:10-11: (Balak, king of Moab) Then Balak’s anger was aroused against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam: I called you to curse my enemies, and look; you have blessed them these three times! Now therefore, flee to your place. I said I would greatly honor you, but in fact, the Lord has kept you back from honor. * The honor of this evil world is nothing compared to the soon coming honor when Christ returns.

The Promise of the Holy Spirit

Balaam took up his oracle a fourth time to prophesy the coming of Messiah, Christ Jesus. * Numbers 24: 17: I see HIM, but not now; I behold HIM, but not near; a Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and batter the brow of Moab and destroy all the sons of tumult. * David defeated Moab in 2 Samuel 8:2. However, all the sons of tumult are the wicked of the earth. They will be destroyed in the soon coming tribulation. Tribulation is the wrath of God upon a world of ungodly knowledge and evil hate. Honor will be bestowed on those that prove their love of God. * John 14:15-17: If you love ME, keep MY commandments. And I will pray the Father, and HE will give you another Helper, that He (it) may abide with you forever---The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees HIM, nor knows HIM…. * The basic commandments are Exodus, chapter 20, Leviticus, chapter 23 and Deuteronomy, chapter 14.

John 12:31: Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. * The ruler of this world (Satan) will be cast out after tribulation. Please read Matthew 24:20-22, Revelation 20:2.

Be blessed until we meet again.
