The Betrothal

    Home Back

Hosea 2:19-20:NKJV: I will betroth you to Me forever; yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving kindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.

God demonstrated an example with Israel which was without righteousness, justice, loving-kindness and mercy. The entire world then and more so in this age is far from God. * Hosea 1:2: When the lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: Go take yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord.

As a man is betrothed to a woman to become one flesh (Genesis 2:24), so is Father God married to those that obey the rules of heaven. Father God gave a writ of divorce to the kingdom of northern Israel for departing from the commandments. The punishment to disperse the ten tribes of northern Israel to all parts of the known world was sealed by 722 BC. The betrothal (promise of future marriage) of our Father in heaven is sealed only by those that keep all the commandments of heaven. Most of the ten tribes of northern Israel are mingled with the entire world and worship the wrong god. That god is Satan, the devil who deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Punishment for the world is soon coming.

Matthew 24:21-22: For there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Isaiah 65:9: I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah an heir of My Mountains; MY elect shall inherit it, and MY servants shall dwell there.  * Nearly ninety percent of the descendants from Jacob were mingled into the gentile populations of the world. Queen Ester’s reign in Persia in 479 BC extended from India to Ethiopia (Ester 1:1). These were people from Judah and Benjamin that kept the commandments of God. This was about 250 years after the ten tribes of Jacob were dispersed. These ten tribes of Jacob committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord and blended perfectly with the rest of the evil pagan world. Loving kindness and mercy from people was almost nonexistent then as in this age. However, the elect are those that keep the commandments and receive the light of the world (Holy Spirit of God). In the world to come, great is the compensation.

1 John 2:4-5: He who says: I know HIM, and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him * 1 John 3:4: Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness (All is sin by breaking the law of God). * But God is a God of loving kindness and mercy. * Matthew 5:7-8: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. * Proverbs 21:21: He who follows righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness and honor.*.  The loving kindness and mercy of God will restore the blessing of Eden to the elect at the return of Messiah, Christ Jesus.

Amos 9:13-14: Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of MY people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. * The captives of sin are the ten tribes of Jacob mingled within the rest of the gentile world. Others are people called by God to walk and to be like Christ in keeping all the commandments of the God.

God knows all souls that prove their love by keeping all the commandments of Leviticus, chapter 23, Deuteronomy, chapter 5 and Exodus, chapter 20. This is in addition to obeying the holy food laws of Leviticus, chapter 11 and Deuteronomy, chapter 14. * Deuteronomy 14:2-3: For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Him, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. You shall not eat any detestable thing. * If you do what is right in the eyes of God, you will be sons of God, whether Jew or Gentile.

Ephesians 1:4-5: Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. * If we do the will of God, power over the nations is a gift in the coming kingdom of God.  * Revelation 2:26: And he who overcomes and keeps MY works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations. * To receive power in the coming kingdom; we must prove our loving kindness and mercy to develop the righteousness and justice of God.

James 2:12-13: So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty (love, freedom, the commandments). For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs (rejoices, glorifies, wins) over judgment. * There will be no mercy at resurrection for many who have not been merciful to others.  Prove your love for God by being obedient to the spoken law from heaven.

Be blessed until we meet again.
