Delight

Psalm 40:7-8: NKJV: Then I said: Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do YOUR will, O my God, and YOUR law is within my heart.  * These are the words of Messiah, Christ Jesus given to King David.  The law of heaven and the coming kingdom on earth was given into the hearts of mankind on the day of Pentecost in 31 AD. The message also was prophesy in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 31:31-33: Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah---Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, MY covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel (entire world) after those days, says the Lord: I will put MY law in their mind, and write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

The Constitution of the United States was established after freedom from virtual slavery from the mother country. To this day, the original Constitution is the law of this great country. It has not been abolished but improved with addendums to the law. The finger of God wrote the law in stone on Mount Sinai. Disobedience to the law resulted in death. If a woman committed adultery, she was stoned to death. If a man blasphemed God, he was stoned to death. The teachers of the law even tried to stone Christ (John 10:33). The addendum to the old covenant to the new covenant at Pentecost is a delight. This addendum to the law established a merciful and forgiving high priest in Christ forever. Therefore, the heart, the mind of mankind is a tablet of flesh.

2 Corinthians 3:3: Clearly, you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. * Only the blood of the holy Lamb of God can redeem Mankind. When people break a commandment of God, only this blood can redeem from eternal death. The daily sacrifices of animal blood by ancient Israel only pointed to a savior. The blood of an animal cannot redeem for eternal life

2 Corinthians 3:7: But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away. * The countenance, the look of Moses, from the glory of God, passed away at death. The administration of death from the law remains for the law gives no forgiveness or opportunity for eternal life. Without obedience with faith, trust and belief in God, eternal life will also pass away. Abram believed in the Lord.

Genesis 15:6-7: And he believed in the Lord, and HE accounted it to him for righteousness. Then HE said to him: I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it. * Abram was obedient in Genesis 12:1…Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. * Abram passed the first test when he left his country and family. This proved he loved God more than country or family. The unknown and unseen land of promise was only for him to see. It became a family gift after the labor of continual faith and trust in God. The infection of the world of sin must be forsaken and the work of the Lord must endure to the end of life. Affection can develop into idolatry which demands death. The tenacious affection of things in this world must be cast away to receive Devine grace.

Romans 4:7: Blessed are those whose lawless deeds (transgression) are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin (Psalm 32:1, 2). Impute means God will not charge your account. * John 1:47: Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward HIM, and said of him: Behold, and Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit! * To this day, deceit from the adversary of God, Satan continues to deceive the entire world (Revelation 12:9). * Mankind must do the work of the Lord in two ways to be blessed to receive the promise of the Kingdom of God.

Mark 12:32-33: So the scribe said to HIM: Well said, Teacher (Jesus). You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but HE. And to love HIM with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.  * The blessed addendum to the old covenant is the addition of Christ who is preparing a kingdom for those that deeply and tenaciously love God instead of this evil world.

2 Corinthians 3:11: For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. * Verse 13-14: Unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds (hearts) were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.* Verse 16-17: Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom from sin).  * Be blessed until we meet again.
