The Night

    Home Back

Exodus 12:41-42: KJV: And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts (armies) of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out of the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations. * Verse 37: And the children of Israel journeyed from Ramses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children (not including women and children).

Every language has words with more than one meaning. Succoth means shelter representing the feast of shelters/tabernacles. This High feast is rejoicing before the Lord your God for seven days again in the seventh month of the Lord’s calendar on the fifteenth day (Read Leviticus 23:39-41).The shelters of Succoth are symbolic of protection from the enemy. In addition to the protection of God’s sheltering goodness, Succoth also means to block or stop. The following day after the blood of the lamb, Passover, is the feast of unleavened bread which was a joyful celebration of freedom from slavery in the first month on the fifteenth day (Nisan 15).  Succoth also represents the observing vigil and watchful eye of God as HE shelters the children from the approaching army of the adversary. This is Satan, represented by the Egyptians. The children of God are HIS treasured possession.

Malachi 3:17-18: NKJV: They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts: On the day that I make them MY jewels, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve HIM. * The armies of the Lord faithfully served God by following the instruction of Moses to kill the Passover Lamb on Passover at twilight on Nissan 14 (Exodus 12:6-12, Leviticus 23:5). Each household that placed the blood of the lamb on the doorpost and lintel was saved (representing Messiah, Jesus Christ). Death extended to every household in the surrounding land. Exodus 12:12: For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will strike (kill) all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. * The treasured possession, the children of our Lord will be spared in the Day of Judgment.

Matthew 12:35-37: A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. * Many will be condemned in this age for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. This is rejection and dishonor of the Holy Spirit of God which often tries to minister to many for the purpose of salvation. A classic example is the Pharisees dishonoring and rejecting the Spirit of God by turning back to the evil spirit and god of this world. A great reward will be bestowed upon those sons and daughters that do not reject the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit of God.

Matthew 16:27; For the Son of Man will come in the glory of HIS Father with HIS angels, and then HE will reward each according to his works. * The rewards of the righteous are a crown of life at resurrection. These few who walk in the footsteps of Christ by keeping all the commandments of God in Exodus, chapter 20 and Leviticus, chapter 23, will have this promise fulfilled.  The first phase is becoming a ruler with a throne for 1,000 years with Christ.

Revelation 20:4-5: And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. * This is the one church that Jesus Christ promised to train for the soon coming kingdom come.

Matthew16:18: And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build MY church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. * Peter, Simon Bar Jonah, was first that the Holy Spirit, Father God, revealed that Christ was Son of the living God. The rock is Messiah (1 Corinthians 10-4, Isaiah 8:14, 1 Peter 2:8), who preserved the Word even in rocky caves overlooking the Dead Sea. Some preached the Word in subterranean tombs, the catacombs beneath Rome. This took place even as Jews and Christian Jews were fed to the lions in the coliseum above. Down through the ages, demons and warlocks of Satan accused people that worshipped on the seventh day Sabbath and the High Holy Day Sabbaths These elect were put to death or burned at the stake. To this day, few that fully believe Christ has been raised by being correctly immersed in water. This is with the lay on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit of God to continue building the Church of God until our Lord soon returns.

Until Christ, the Messiah returns, the spirit within mankind cannot change or resurrect any person. The Holy Spirit must continue to work with each person until death. At resurrection, the spirit of man will unite with the Holy Spirit to become one with God.  Satan will no longer deceive the entire world (revelation 12:9). The one God of one will then teach the billions that never knew God (read Isaiah 2:3-4).                                                         Be blessed until we meet again.
