To Stand

    Home Back

Isaiah 8:10: NKJV: Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak the Word, but it will not stand, for God is with us (Hebrew is Immanuel).

God is with us (Isaiah 7:14) and again in Matthew 1:23 where our Lord said again, the infant Jesus was the fulfillment of prophecy for the coming Messiah. Many within the world in this age expect the soon coming of Messiah to establish a new world order of peace and prosperity after destruction of the wicked. The nations of this evil world now take counsel to survive or become the supreme evil ruler of the entire world. But the Word of God reveals it will come to nothing even with the spoken Word of our Lord God. This spoken word of man will not stand because mankind’s way of love and peace will not stand until Immanuel soon stands on the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:3-4: Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as HE fights in the day of the battle. And in that day HIS feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. * The flight of Judea is described in more detail by Immanuel in the Gospel of Mark.

Mark 13:3-4: Now as HE sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked HIM privately: Tell us, when will these thing be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled? * Mark 13:12-14: Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for MY name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11 and Luke 21:21); the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Luke advises also that those not in the country to not enter. Immanuel, Christ Jesus prophesied the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD and again at HIS return. With perseverance with faith of the prophecies of the Bible, the Word, mankind has an opportunity to stand when this soon takes place.

2 Peter 1:2-5: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as HIS divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceeding great and precious promises, that through the knowledge of Him that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (trust); to virtue knowledge (righteousness); to knowledge self-control (get a grip on belief).

Righteousness is the image of God that desires for all mankind to conform. The entire bible preaches morality for righteousness and conformity to the covenant law which is the current law in heaven above. This is the law no man can attain without faith, trust and belief to receive the power of the Holy Spirit to assist man in keeping the commandments of Exodus, chapter 20, Deuteronomy, chapter 5 and Leviticus, chapter 23. Sadly, most of mankind has been deceived by the evil adversary, Satan the devil to believe they can achieve salvation. Most of mankind falls short of the glory of God and are not saved. They do not have the necessary faith described in Hebrews, chapter 11. Noah followed the instruction of God to build the ark, taking 120 years and he did. Abraham followed instruction of God to go, without to know where, but he went. With continuous faith Sarah and Abraham later conceived Isaac in very old age. God spoke many words to the apostle Paul for mankind to follow. But mankind seeks only to gratify with lust.

1 Thessalonians 5:15-23:See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace HIMSELF sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. * We become blameless by doing the will of our Lord God. We become blameless when we keep all the commandments. We become blameless when we unlearn what is not in the Bible.

Habakkuk 2:4: Behold the proud, his soul is not upright (righteous) in him; but the just (righteous) shall live by his faith. * 2 Peter 1:6-7: To knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverence, to perseverance godliness. * Become righteous as Jesus. We become righteous by doing the will of God in keeping the commandments. Get a grip on belief.

John 3:11: Most assuredly, I say to you. We speak what we know and testify what we have seen, and you do not receive our witness ** OUR witness includes the Holy Spirit. This witness records each soul that denies our Eternal by keeping the customs and commandments of man instead of the customs and commandments of our Messiah and Lord Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
